1. Information you provide
When you request access, contact North ML, or create an account, we may receive information such as your name, email address, message content, and account credentials. Passwords should be stored only as secure hashes and never as readable text.
2. Research and service data
If you use Horizon Research, the service processes prompts, generated responses, model choices, and related workspace information needed to provide the service. Signed-in investigations are stored with your account in North’s Supabase database so they can be reopened across sessions. Research prompts are also sent to the selected model service to generate a response. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive personal information unless North has explicitly agreed to handle it.
2A. Waitlist approval
New profiles remain on a waitlist after email verification. North stores the profile’s approval status and the time access is granted. Resend processes the verification message, the private approval request sent to North, and the authorized reply used to approve access. Replies from unauthorized senders are ignored.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to operate and secure the service, manage access, respond to messages, enforce usage limits, improve reliability, investigate abuse, and communicate important product updates. North does not sell personal information.
4. Model improvement
North will not use private research content to train public models unless that use is clearly disclosed and permission is obtained where required. De-identified operational data may be used to understand performance, failures, and product quality.
5. Providers and transfers
North may rely on hosting, database, email, analytics, security, and inference providers. Those providers should receive only the information needed to perform their services and may process data in different locations.
6. Retention and deletion
Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting arthur.schannel.stop@gmail.com.
7. Security and limitations
North uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping credentials private and for reviewing generated research before relying on it.
8. Changes
This policy may change as Horizon and North infrastructure develop. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
